Workshop Service Co-Ordinator (Semi-Trailers)

About the Opportunity

Due to an expanding Service Department G&A Lombardi is seeking the services of an experienced dynamic and motivated individual to join our Service team as a Service Coordinator for an immediate start. This would be the ideal opportunity for someone who has exceptional customer service skills along with a heavy mechanical background to be rewarded for their contribution to a fast growing and ever evolving company.       

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Service Manager, as a Service Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating customer trailers for servicing, repairs, and modification. Serving customers at the service desk and at their trailers during drop-offs and pickups, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for the smooth operation of the Service workshop, advising and liaising with workshop supervisors of scheduled work coming into the workshop. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. 

The role is a Permanent full time salary position based in Perth, working a minimum 38 hours per week plus reasonable additional hours as necessary.

Responsibilities:

·         Provide excellent customer Service at all times.

·         Booking/scheduling clients trailers in for repairs and or servicing.

·         Determining customer repair/service needs by asking the right questions.

·         Carry out visual inspections so as to ensure customer expectations are met each time.

·         Implement processes and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency in Service coordination. 

·         Collaborate with Team members, Service Manager, Service administrator and workshop supervisors.

·         Coordinate and assign job schedules to workshop supervisors, monitor progress, quality, and profitability.

·         Review all completed Job cards to ensure all labour, parts, and materials have been accurately allocated.

·         Communicate effectively and promptly to customers any issues arising in extra costs or time delays.

·         Handling all customer issues and queries in the Service department.

·         Review workshop staff timecards ensure accuracy and correct as necessary.

·         General administration duties within the Service department.

The ideal candidate:

·         Proven/Previous experience in Service Coordination or similar role in Heavy Vehicle Servicing.

·         Education, qualification or certification in a related field would be highly regarded.

·         Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.

·         Strong administrative and computing skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. (AutoIT  highly regarded)

·         A highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to work well under pressure

·         Excellent phone manner with a neat and professional presentation.

·         Excellent work ethic, with a reliable and helpful attitude.

·         Commitment to continuous improvement and best practices.

. A proactive approach toward workplace safety.

·         Ability to Pass a Pre-Employment Medical including D&AS.

·         Forklift or First Aid tickets would be highly regarded.
